Captain Chuck Blocker

St. Johns River guide since 1981.

Captain Chuck Blocker has spent his entire life living, working, and fishing along the St. Johns River. Decades of experience — including fishing Rodman Reservoir since it was first created — bring unmatched knowledge of North Florida waters to every trip.

Chuck has been an active local tournament angler since 1981. He's passionate about sharing his love of fishing with others and takes pride in teaching the art of angling to beginners and seasoned anglers alike. He currently guides for two Class I railroads — CSX and Norfolk Southern — offering safe, professional trips tailored to each guest.

His Christian-based guide service is fully family-oriented, emphasizing patience, kindness, and encouragement. While he can't promise the fish will bite, he guarantees a fun, positive experience on the water — without criticism, pressure, or raised voices.

Chuck's Custom Rods. In addition to guiding, Chuck is also the craftsman behind Chuck's Custom Rods, where he hand-builds high-quality fishing rods designed for serious performance and personal style.
